RE: TPMS Replacement - Liteitup - 05-01-2021

Early indications are this is a success.

These are the sensors I ordered, $37 for 2 sensors as opposed to over $200 for one.

Turns out they are for spoked wheels and look like this

A little work with a drill and it looks like this

A short distance down the drive and dashboard looks like this

Longevity will determine how successful this turns out to be, but for the $$ this is a worthwhile option IMHO

What did you drill?

RE: TPMS Replacement - Liteitup - 05-01-2021

Since I ordered the wrong sensors, I had to drill the valve stem assembly out so I could bolt the sensor to the wheel.

Drill here

Sorry, I didn't take a picture of the one I drilled. Here's the original. Mine was reasonably similar.

My altered sensor next to unaltered new sensor.

So far, so good. Rode 275 today, no bells, buzzers, or warning lights.
