Carpuride 702BS ... an initial review - Grumpy Goat - 05-01-2025 If you are thinking of buying this unit you should probably watch this video first. RE: Carpuride 702BS ... an initial review - Liteitup - 05-01-2025 Hmmm, Counterpoint, I very rarely use any screen other than the map. Granted, I have a TFT bike, but after years of having a gps in front of me, I NEED that map! Gloves, a little spit goes a long way. ![]() My problem is it randomly disconnects from my phone and I lose the map. Comes back when you restart the bike, but that's not really acceptable when touring. With a TFT bike, if you have a Hex EZcan, the turn signal press to change screens doesn't work as the EZcan uses that function. My reason for buying, I'm on my 6th Nav6 so I don't trust them either. I was hoping... Carpuride sent me a new download but I'm not smart enough to get it to work. (I skipped some of the first part and the part about the Tiger ![]() RE: Carpuride 702BS ... an initial review - Grumpy Goat - 05-01-2025 (05-01-2025, 06:51 AM)Liteitup Wrote: Hmmm, Tha't OK ... the part on the Tiger just speaks to the use as a Carplay unit and the compact standoff. I agree with the need for the map and for that it is good, especially at that screen size. Interesting part about the Hex eZCAN ... I have one too on my non-TFT RS but my big issues are not likely caused by that since, other than the fuel gauge, it all works (albeit just a little off, as mentioned). Or, and this is far more likely, user error by me. I'm not the techiest. RE: Carpuride 702BS ... an initial review - JohnF - 05-05-2025 Tried the previoius version on my previous bike (STR675). Didn't get as far as fitting it, it failed a bench test on the IPX rating and after 15 minutes submerged in about 15 cm of water, refused to turn on. Sorry, but I don't trust Carpuride's rating claims and water ingress is going to let you down when you least expect it. |
