Newbe - Gordie Thomas - 12-26-2019

Hi everyone. Just joined your group and looking forward following along on different subjects. Here’s a picture of of my new ride if I can figure out how to post it?. I’ve been riding for a long time and owned many BMWs. This one replaces my K1600GT.

Welcome aboard. Congratulations. Very cool. I've seen a few bikes in this color at the shop, and they seem to change with the sun. It will certainly pop up on the center stand a little more briskly than your last ride.

Your photo seems par for the course - or your dealer is so overstocked, the bikes are hanging from the rafters....

Not sure what the trick is for accurate photo attachment. I've had no problems with accurate communication of .JPG files through Google Chrome and, in the past, Tapatalk. Remember - it's supposed to be fun. Rolleyes

I’ll be darned if I know why it’s upside down. Don’t know what to do about it. Actually they are harder to get up onto the center stand then the K1600.

Don't feel bad. I recently tried to post a picture. Initially it appeared, but when I returned later it was not visible to me, although other users could still see it.
Welcome to the forum. Beautiful bike. Enjoy!

Gordie - Welcome to the Forum. I downloaded your photos and they are actually upside down, so it is not the forum software. I rotated them and re-uploaded them for you.

RE: Newbe - Lee - 12-27-2019

Welcome to the site Gordie.
I remember seeing your bike on the RS forum.

Thank you! I tried to Rotate them but wasn’t able to get it done.

I rode a K1600GT for a couple of days..., and made a point of using the center stand, because it makes the bike look even bigger and badder. Maybe the size had me psyched out, but I could have sworn I was throwing more of my weight onto the stand lever than with the RS.

Is the reason we have had opposite experiences simply due to what we are accustomed. (You can answer that question after a few months.)
