How Not to Jump a Curb! - Grumpy Goat - 12-31-2019

There were no dents to the SW Motech crash bar tubing, so a little sandpaper and rattle-can matte touch-up paint and it will be good as new.

If I had a camera on my bike there would be a very lengthy montage of dump things I have done on a bike. Big Grin

Thanks John. Maybe the camera on the bike / helmet is the problem ... Big Grin

That's why we buy engine guards Smile

You should sue the person that put that curb there.
Isn't that how it's done in litigation happy USA Big Grin
Here's to an upright New Year!

I know, right. I mean the curb has two tapered ends with a raised middle, like a flattened parabola. Undecided

Initial glance must have registered "all flat" in my mind (never mind the red paint) ... Blush

Yep. SO pleased with my SW Motech bars. I had agonized a while before making that choice.

Thanks professor.
Easy to do.
(I'm hoping this leads to the GG video on how to wheelie and bunny hop an RS.)

Wheelie and bunny hop? Hardly .... Big Grin

I did a half-a$$ed job at the repair today. It is not matte enough but it will do. Did the centre stand too and that also came out fine.

Just thinking - plenty of GS videos and even Teach McNeil bunny hopping an RR.... seems like time for an RS contribution.

Here's Brett Tkacs making his contribution.

I agree with you, of course. Videos of the RS are few and far between.

Wheelers put too much strain on the drivetrain for me to even want to do it on my only bike. Then Darrell’s universal joint experience gives even more pause to that.

Speaking of which ... I wonder how Michael’s bike made out at the dealership and the service off his driveshaft. Michael - please let us know in your thread. Hope it all went well.

I learned to bunny hop because I got tired of carrying the bikes up the later Smile

I have to ask...... how the heck do you get the bikes up there? Big Grin

There's a sliding door from the main part of the garage.

There's a overhead door in the back if I need to put a bike in the lower level.

It's a odd setup but works great for us.

2011 K1300S.
That's what we had before the R1200RS.
