I see the Edelweiss Inn in Eureka Springs is # 3 on the list.

Since the 2017 rally in Eureka we try to spend a night here on the way to Texas and usually stay a night after a rally we attend in Arkansas in October.

We plan to stay here Fri and Sat nights the end of the week on our way to Texas and probably will catch it on the way home.

If it works out Saturday we'll visit Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuse.

Great to see Robert's efforts getting some traction.

Also see the Yodeler in Red Lodge, MT getting a nod - the building is now over 100 y old and on the national registry of historic places.

Not clear what they use for criteria for the ideal staycation and who they are targeting. The number 1 affordable staycation place boasts: "According to the inn's website, it is a starting point for many motorcycle tours." In Eureka Springs and across from the a Harley shop, sounds noisy.

Lee, what route do you use through southern Missouri to get to Eureka Springs?

From Monett we take 37, 28 and 23.

After Eureka we'll run down 23 to Mena, then west over Talimena Skyline Drive.

The places in Kentucky, Michigan, Montana and New Hampshire.

Lee, if you were coming down the 65 to the 86 you'd pass right by my place. I thought I might tag along for a few miles, maybe some other time.

When we go to Jasper in the Fall we run down 13 to Springfield, then take 65 to Harrison.
