Phenomenal riding. Perhaps a fluke but the RS led the way.[Image: 166359a35245a9804d4e4d582830e8f8.jpg][Image: 83d7d32cefbc862853ba63a37df68085.jpg][Image: 212baee7be4136758b6d42b65cfaa03d.jpg][Image: 09b7bb70cdb6b6e06dd41b0eecb11a1e.jpg]

I like the Thruxton R.

Did the rider share his thoughts on his Pan Am?

I like the Triumph, too, but couldn't ride it very far with those clip-ons.

He was an aggressive older white haired rider who knew all the roads and wore an old Radcrafter one piece suit. He has only had the bike 3 weeks so he reserves judgment, but so far loves it. He thinks it handles like a GS. His only concern is potentially marring the black externally spoked rims. He plans on using zip ties with his 1st tire change. In reference to Grumpy's thread on tire changing I note that this is a traditional guy who uses wood blocks and tire levers with a hand held bead breaker and a few wrestling techniques to make all his changes.

The tall young Thruxton rider and mechanic, who's built like a cyclist, thinks nothing of longer distances.

It's all what we are ised to.

Ray, I am sure it was not a fluke but watch out for those old guys in Roadcrafters. Big Grin

(For the record, I took a head start when I saw the chance....)
