Hi All!

Coming back to the BMW fold. My first was an 82 R100RS in 1987, last was a 2006 R1200RT.  Been on a 2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200 since 2011, but never could get it to be comfortable for really long rides (great all-around bike though).  I want highway comfort AND tristy performance. Got an itch to try an R1200 or 1250 and read great stuff about the RS. Found a really good deal through Cycletrader, 2020 with 5100 miles AND an extended warranty through 2025! Flew into Philadelphia on Friday 8/25 and rode it home to Cincinnati. Quite comfortable on the highway with the touring screen. Had some time yesterday for my local twisties and I am VERY impressed. Loving it so far!

Looking forward to learning more from here- the tech is near-overwhelming!

Dave

Welcome to the Forum Community, and thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself. Great place to learn all about the RS. Lots of folk here who have a lot of experience owning and working on RSs and other BMWs in general. Thanks also for sharing the picture ... one of my favourite colourways for the RS.

Welcome to the forum.
My first BMW was a 1984 R100RT purchased in 1984.

Good to see you here Dr.D. I also came from Multistrada though first gen. Loved that bike but lack of comfort moved me.
I am truly a V twin fan but am loving the RS as I do not see anything on the market that has the compromises
that work for me.
