Mercedes AMG eBikes
#4
Wow.... Nice find.

$5800, but one gets 130 Nm of torque (750W), dual wheel drive, Enviolo continuously variable transmission, carbon belt, disk brakes, and some sort of front suspension to smooth out the bumps at speed.

If it didn't weigh close to 70 pounds (with fenders and such), it wouldn't need the heavy wheels or front suspension. And if it could do more than 75 miles before one found themselves pushing all that weight along the road toward the closest charger, it might be more versatile.

And of course, $5800 is $1000 more than a Beta Evo 80 Sr. trials bike I've been eyeing..., and $15 more than a 2023 BMW G 310 R, which would be a lot more versatile - even if one didn't get the sensation they were exercising, as they would on the Mercedes E-bike.

For now, I'll look for it under one of the orthopedic surgeons who's in a hurry to do his 7 mile commute to and from work. (I usually have 2-3 ebikes pass me on my daily commute through Forest Park.)
