Hybrids on tour
#1
Maybe for those with a fine-tuned right hand and fans of sensible speeds that result in 60 mpg days, the concept of a hybrid motorcycle is redundant to what they already have. But, for those of us who appreciate torque and would rather save gas money for more tangible things, like tires and parts, the Kawi sparks the imagination of what might be available in a few years.

The lower exhaust, long wheelbase, and relaxed bar reach suggest a sport tourer, and the reviews suggest it would be capable. (It even has manual transmission mode for Debbie.)

I am definitely interested in this. Looking forward to more reviews on the bike as well.

I read the review and I'd really like to get to ride one. Sounds like the MT mode works almost as well as the Shift Assist Pro on my 1250RS.

It's definitely a step forward. Hopefully, the price will be competitive with the current 600~700cc bikes.
