Someone had to do it...First post to this sub-forum. In the spirit of Columbus, Magellan, and Armstrong.

My riding is mostly on the rural regions of northcentral PA
I tried to like your post ( to boost your reputation, of course). But it appears I've used up my allotments of likes for one day. Not allowed, I'm told.
Anyway, Cheers, from NC Smile

Being the last of four kids, I understand all the good stuff being used-up by the time I come along..........

Thanks Grumpy! I have to say I’m loving this bike so far. 1000 miles in the last two weeks have been incredibly pleasant.

I-95 and the beltway are ugly places to ride a bike

My garmin watch buzzes and says “elevated heart rate detected”. Wonder why ???? ?. I try to time my ride down and back to off hours. There is some beautiful riding in more southern and western va. Also western PA is beautiful.

I'm in the "real" center of PA. Good riding surrounds me

Looped thru that area last Saturday for a state inspection and new front tire at Hermy's.

I wish we had a good dealer in the Philly area like Hermys...

It's only 70-miles, at most.
Edited several of the posts as it was getting increasingly harder to read will all of the old quotes retained. It is much easier on the eyes if the previous stuff is deleted except for the immediate last input.
Yeah, I am in Eastern PA, Lansdale to be exact. I think I may be only 1200RS owner in the immediate area but I love my bike and don't understand why the RS is not more popular.
Northern VA rider here. Rides to WV, west on 250 from Stauton, VA, or anywhere along the length of Hwy 220, with Elkins as a basecamp, tops my list. A round trip is a full day but if you ride Smokehole Road (Hwy 28, west of Petersburg to "Cabins," across a small bridge and head south), it's worth it!

When we can safely do hotels again Pittsburgh, at one time not thought of as a destination, is a favorite place to ride and stay overnight. There are lots of ways to get there that I've not tried, but highway 50 is fun. Also, the city is walkable, has (had?) great restaurants, and $30 Broadway shows to top it off. I would really like to get some suggestions for PA roads--for example I can get to Scranton by noon...and then?

Locally-ish, between I-66 and highway 211 to the south are two amazing roads that actually cross each other: Crest Hill Road (647) and Leeds Manor Road (688) which is a good way to get to Mount Weather with it's scary looking government facility on top and always perfectly paved roads.

Squids use 211 to go over the ridge-line between Sperryville and Luray--lots of motorcycle-crash warning signs. No tree of shame yet...
