2022 RS Colors - darrell - 06-30-2021
3 colors options for 2022 models
Black and Blue - appear to be just like the current models with the small spoiler below the radiator.
White with red main frame with the aluminum spoiler

I like the White or Light Grey Metallic with the red frame.

I called Engles in Kansas City and a white 2022 showed up in their system today.
He said it would be 3 to 4 months before it would arrive.
They put our name on it and the salesman will contact the rep to see how long they have to wait to order another.
Debbie was on the fence about trading next year but she quickly jumped off the fence when she saw the white RS.

I like red and blue frame bikes.
It would look even better if all the frame was red like the white R1200R.

It's a shame the 22 RS did not get the newer LED turn signals the GS and S bikes have.
If I remember correctly the GS turn signals double as running and brake lights.
This picture shows the old style turn signals. It's possible the picture is not accurate.

We have the BMW LED turn signals on our bikes now. Earlier this year I asked the shop owner's son if they could still turn on the LED option if we moved the LED turn signals to our next bikes.
He did not think it was possible to do it now that the old style LED turn signals are not approved in the US.

The salesman called back today and he was able to get another RS for us.
Production is estimated for the end of August.
I asked about TPM. They had three RTs come in without TPM because of the chip shortage but all the bikes after that had TPM.
Engles picked up the tab on adding TPM to those first RTs.

Shape aside, ever thought of fitting LED bulbs in the stock turn signals? I recently received Dynamic Motorrad bulbs (set of 4 for something like $130) which I will be installing this weekend in a short video to be posted on YT next week.

Much nicer.
He did not think it was possible to do it now that the old style LED turn signals are not approved in the US.
I do not dispute they may not meet DOT obsolete rules....but who checks

We did the same. Did it for the looks. We liked the slimmer look.
$150 installed and turned on.

Never considered it. Bulbs are cheap and turn signal bulbs seem to last forever.
I would pay $130 for the Dynamic Motorrad bulbs if they doubled as running lights.
Weiser has that option but I think it $450 to $500 for four inserts.
