I have no doubt that it makes fine coffee but the problem with a Moka pot (for motorcycle camping / travelling) is its bulk and the fact that it is only single purpose. The Nanopresso is also single purpose but it is significantly smaller. The Nanopresso is also single purpose but it is significantly smaller. If you're going to a boiler like the Moka, then a smaller version I've carried for years is a GSI steel boiler. Of course, the trick is getting a hand operated mill to grind the beans fine enough. The last few years - and especially if I'm with a few other people - I bring an MSR pot that accommodates a cut-down press, so I don't spend an hour making multiple cups. Some cold mornings, 2-4 ounces of espresso just ain't enough. This one's from Bialetti and serves 2. |
