Somewhere around 3:30P, the ER doc reported the MRI was fine (actually quite good considering my age) and handed me a prescription for muscle relaxers which give me a dull headache but eliminated the morning pain and the groin tingles.

So, yes, motorcycles are dangerous.

Wow! What a shocker that must have been for you ... merely mounting from the "wrong side" caused such a severe strain in the muscles. Good to know. We all need to stretch more so that when we do these occasional acrobatics, we don't cause any injuries.

Ouch, back pain like that is no fun. While taking the pain killers don't forget to eat fruits and get plenty of fluids.

Good advice. I was relieved to hear the MRI results, but waiting for the muscle and nerve spasms to subside is driving me crazy.

To add insult to injury, I purchased a used R1200R/RS seat bag for a good price on eBay a few days before my "ballet" move. It's now sitting on the bike and I'm wondering if I want to dance over that hump each time I mount and unmount the bike....

If you can, mount the bag to your rack instead of the seat.

That would be my recommendation also. But I am not putting a rack on the S1000R! Confused

BTW - I will have a review of the Rearbag online maybe Sunday. I had it done already but forgot something so it is back to the editing board. Dodgy

I don't think you can add a rack to the R or RR.

The bottom of the Seat Bag (or "Pocket" in BMWese) is curved and flared to match the shape of the pillion cushion. That's a poor match for the RS rack.

Anyhow, mounted as designed, it is not bad looking, just too tall in my opinion for easy rider mounting or unmounting.

I've looked at that bag and like how the bottom is molded to the seat shape.
I also like how it's very fast to mount and remove.
In the future we don't need to see any more of your G-sting pictures Smile

Just trying to keep-up with Grumpy's Bike Babes............

I purchased the bag at half-price, so I have some time to consider its future.

That they were, because they certainly did a half-assed job of washing the bike ... Big Grin

Trying to get a decent scrubbing motion without using their hands would be hard.
