Thanks. A little different then what I was thinking of doing but I'll give it a try to see how I like it. I do not use Trip A and B on the GPS so it will take awhile to train myself to reset it each trip Debbie does not reset her stuff at gas stops so I can look at her bike for the trip total. As for all the break times and average speed I never look at that info and wish we had the option to remove those and decide what info is shown to reduce clutter. I do look at avg MPG at fill ups and at end of trips. It lets me know everything is running correctly with the engine. I also compare total MPG between both bikes at end of trips. Debbie usually gets one or two MPG less than me. While I'm thinking of it I'll go out to the garage and change Trip Computer back to Auto. 24F now. This afternoon is supposed to be sunny and 45. I'll get out this afternoon for more break-in miles. Thanks again for the help. RE: 2020 R1250RS tomorrow! - runnerhiker - 11-02-2021 The computer has 14 data points, look at page 94 in the manual for a list. Break times is probably the least useful one but it is not useless, specially on a long day in the saddle. The accuracy of calculated data is better than on the 1200's. MPH is high by about 1.5. MPG is high by less than 1.0. And I think the MPG is a little better on the 1250. Anyway, all gas info is so accurate, I am finally beginning to loose "reset the odometer at every gas fillup". When traveling from point A to point B, I leave the TFT on the On Board Computer or the Trip Computer. There is no tach on those screens but I don't miss that with this engine. RE: 2020 R1250RS tomorrow! - Lee - 11-02-2021 Went for another break-in ride today. I can reset Avg MPG 1 and distance 1 from the GPS but it's faster to use the TFT. Gas prices are down in Iowa. RE: 2020 R1250RS tomorrow! - Lee - 11-04-2021 Because of a 10 day back log on service I decided to drop mine off today and take Deb's down when mine was done. Debbie followed me in the car. They went ahead and did mine and we returned home tonight. That worked out good. We took overnight bags in case they did the 600 mile service late today or tomorrow. Looks like both of our old bikes are being purchased by Engle Motor employees. RE: 2020 R1250RS tomorrow! - ESquared - 11-04-2021 Yeah, I heard about that today as well. The new guy (Edgar?) was very excited to be able to take home Debbie's bike last Saturday (after I test rode it), so it sounds like his mind is made up! And Jessie in Parts is snagging yours. Keepin' 'em in the family! RE: 2020 R1250RS tomorrow! - Lee - 11-04-2021 (11-04-2021, 06:58 PM)ESquared Wrote: Yeah, I heard about that today as well. He was tickled to get Deb's bike and visited with us a long time about the bike. He thanked me for putting a note under the seat showing the recent service. Nice kid, recently out of the Navy. RE: 2020 R1250RS tomorrow! - Grumpy Goat - 11-05-2021 Good to hear that the bikes are going to good homes. They are in great condition thanks to the care and attention that you paid to both of them. Maybe I will consider buying your R1250RS when you're done with it. Furnace Creek sets a lot of records for gas prices In 2009 I took a picture of a gas pump in Lee Vining, Ca. because I thought $3.79 was a crazy price for regular. Didn't get a gas pump picture at Furnace Creek then. |
