RE: Dunlop Refines the Roadsmart IV Series - Lee - 05-29-2024 I thought Ray tried a set of Mutants but I don't see that mentioned in this thread. I'm guessing the Mutant gets less mileage. It might be better in the rain and on gravel or dirt roads. RE: Dunlop Refines the Roadsmart IV Series - 36654 - 05-29-2024 I would give up some rear tire mileage if I could get more mileage out of the front tire. (Good memory, but my post was a picture of your old bike outside of Engle's, with a set of mutants on it) RE: Dunlop Refines the Roadsmart IV Series - darrell - 05-29-2024 2016 R1200RS 82677 miles - Dunlop Roadsmart III (7523) 90200 miles - Dunlop Roadsmart III (8283) 98483 miles - Dunlop Roadsmart III (8517) 107000 miles - Dunlop Roadsmart IV (10245) 117245 miles - Dunlop Roadsmart IV (10616) 127861 miles - Dunlop Mutant (7890) 135751 miles - Dunlop Roadsmart IV (11753) 147504 miles - Dunlop Roadsmart IV (TBD) RE: Dunlop Refines the Roadsmart IV Series - 36654 - 05-29-2024 (05-29-2024, 07:02 AM)darrell Wrote: 2016 R1200RS I would love to know how you get that mileage from a front. That's my fuzzy memory RE: Dunlop Refines the Roadsmart IV Series - darrell - 05-29-2024 (05-29-2024, 08:52 AM)36654 Wrote:All the tires listed had the front and rear changed at the same time. The fronts were generally the tires that indicated it was change time. We all ride differently so riding style, road surfaces we ride on, pressures we use, etc will impact the mileage we get. On the RS I run 38 front 42 rear. On my 2022 RT on the first set of Roadsmart IV I got 8200 miles using 38 front and 42 rear and the front was done. Ran the next set at 40 psi front and 42 rear and got 11,000 miles. I'm running the current set on the RS at 40 front and 42 rear to see if it makes a difference. I also believe the warmer temps in Arizona vs Minnesota and the road surfaces are not a smooth in Arizona will affect my tire mileage.(05-29-2024, 07:02 AM)darrell Wrote: 2016 R1200RS |
