Fuel Strainer or Filter - 36654 - 08-21-2024

Hello,

Has anyone replaced the fuel stainer/filter on their RS?

Thanks.

I have not heard of anyone replacing the strainer that's attached to the fuel pump.
It's $108 for the little sock.
The last bike we had with a fuel filter was the 2003 K1200RS.

This is the sock strainer at the pickup. https://a.co/d/eV36mWP
Here's the filter that is between the pump and the pressure bulkhead that seals the tank.  https://a.co/d/i5plEZs

Is it on the back side of the female quick disconnect in this view?

Yes, it's under a U shaped strap...I call it the "bale".
Male end is on the hose from the pump and the threaded end is up against the bulkhead for the outside fittings.
The "sock" strainer just slides on the end of the pump with the steel ring holding it on at the bottom of the tank.
