I saved $65 ... - Grumpy Goat - 03-19-2019 If you ever need to replace your front brake pad pin clips and don't feel like sending $35 to BMW for each side then check out my solution. RE: I saved $65 ... - Lee - 03-20-2019 To be on the safe side I would make sure the clip can not touch the piston or pad backing plate. Edit: I looked at my front caliper and it looks like a long clip will hit the metal of the caliper and not the cylinder. I made sure that it rotated freely after I reinstalled it, and it was not binding on anything. If in doubt one could always nip a bit off the "legs" of the clip. RE: I saved $65 ... - Duccrazydave - 03-22-2019 Another excellent video! FYI, Bike Bandit is now another source for BMW OEM parts. Only $3 difference on the "clip assy" (which, conviniently also gets you a whole box from Dorman), but some things may show a greater cost difference. |
