2019 RS Owners Ride In to Helen Georgia - Grumpy Goat - 06-09-2019
We all arrived safely today to the Baymont Inn & Suites in Helen Georgia. Weather was wet but not as bad as I had expected. I am looking forward to spending some good times with these guys and gals over the next three days. Now we just have to get the weather to cooperate!

Yes, Darrell mistyped. "Ken" is Mike from Texas. There is no Ken ... Kent mentioned earlier is correct.

Well today is pretty much rained out for most of us ... some went for a ride anyway. Darrell, Mike, Mark, Bob and I went for a walk and lunch in Helen. Video to come.

Well the Ride In event is over and the remainder of us left Helen this morning. It was a great visit and Ride In and we are already looking forward to 2020! I am presently in Jackson MS for the night before continuing on to Houston tomorrow.
Just want to tip my hat to all who were there - great seeing you all again and we had loads of fun.

Dave - So good to meet you and Kent! Hope you guys had a safe ride back. I did 484 miles today to Jackson MS and it was a good ride too ... even if hot at the end (89 deg.F).
Am in a hotel that puts the one I stayed at on the way up (and the Baymont also) to shame. They even have a security guard and, of course, excellent Internet.
Anyway look out for photos and videos on this forum and on the YouTube channel.

My brother and I had a great time. Great roads and Great people....it doesn't get better than that.
I am looking forward to 2020!
Next year we need to "hire" a better photographer. I look like a trouble maker ready to cause some mischief! lol

Great road trip hotel in Jackson MS - Cabot Lodge - Grumpy Goat - 06-17-2019
Did my first hotel review of the Cabot Lodge hotel where I stayed on Thursday night on the way home after Ride In. Excellent place to stay in Jackson - a world of difference from the Extended Stay America motel I stayed in on the Saturday before. Jackson and this hotel is now my go-to place on my travels northeast.

Nice review....I will have to keep that hotel in mind for future travels. By chance do you know if Cabots is affiliated with a hotel chain?
