When you buy a bmw r1200rs, you wil get a free accessoires, from BMW - Paffen - 06-19-2018 Hi rs community, I have a big complaint about this bike, I've been riding this bike for more than half year, total mileage around 4000km, weather is getting warmer in Belgium. I have discovered that the bike comes with foot heating, very very uncomfortable when I ride the highway Any suggestions to solve my warm feet problem Any advice is welcome Does this help https://www.wunderlich.de/shop/en/wunderlich-foot-protectors-clear-protect-m27910-205-1.html Tx for looking into it That boxer engine create a lot of heat ? I have never heard of anyone installing one of these so if you do get it, please consider doing a review and sharing with others on this forum and on the website. Also thanks for being the first to make a RS-specific post not related to joining up. RE: When you buy a bmw r1200rs, you wil get a free accessoires, from BMW - darrell - 06-19-2018 I use a version of these on both my R1150GS Aventure bikes but only in the early spring and late fall to help keep my feet warmer. They also work on rainy days to keep boots dryer. Never have used them to keep heat off the feet RE: When you buy a bmw r1200rs, you wil get a free accessoires, from BMW - Olgry1 - 06-22-2018 It does look like those should work pretty well. Let us know how they work if you get them. RE: When you buy a bmw r1200rs, you wil get a free accessoires, from BMW - runnerhiker - 06-23-2018 I doubt this will help because it will reduce fresh air flow. What kind of boots are you using? I had a 2004 K1200 RS that put some heat on my feet, and I found that mesh boots and pants made me hotter, by allowing the engine heated air closer to my skin. I wear cheap Cycle Gear leather waterproof boots throughout the year and other than normal boot warmth they are not bad in the summer. In the milder Houston winter I wear warmer socks and all is good. How do you find them in terms of comfort, waterproofing, keeping feet cool, etc? Most of my riding is commuting so the heat might not flow the same way and for as long so they might be okay for distances that are not so long. On the other hand - and this is probably important too - when not on the bike but hanging around with these boots on they will most likely be cooler than my leather boots. I totally agree with your buying strategy, but for me I am most tempted by the price differential. For these boots I have no choice but to buy them online as there are no stores in Houston that I care to visit which carry them. I am tempted to get them as a second set ... |
