Great pictures Lee!

My wife and I have been down there twice in the past five years. We tried to find Elk but to no avail. We were beginning to think it was just a marketing ploy. Big Grin

It's been a long time since we saw them last.
They usually only come out in the open early morning and early evening.
We were surprised to see them mid afternoon.

My pictures look too wide even though I reduced the width to 1000.
I'll check them when I'm home with a computer.

Lee, the pictures are perfect - 1000px wide is right on.

Beautiful pictures of course. Didn't know you were taking another trip so soon after Gunnison, but I guessed you might have been on the road since you were not on the Forum(s).

Many thanks Lee. You picked a great week and some good weather. They've done a lot of work on the roads this year. Enjoy.

Lee, nice pics. I was down close to Jasper yesterday, good riding in that area.

We returned home a day early yesterday because of a cold rain moving in.
We had planned to visit the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge on Sunday then stay at Eureka Springs that night.
Ray had told us about the refuge. https://www.turpentinecreek.org/
Most of the ride home was windy with temps in the low 40s. It snowed most of the morning at home in Iowa but it melted as it hit.

This is as close to camping as we get anymore Smile

Cool. At least there is a fire and adult beverages and good conversation.
