2021 SW Motech Pro Series Bags - Lee - 11-10-2020 This video shows the 2021 Pro Series bags from SW Motech. The video is very long so fast forward to the products that may interest you. It takes one minute for the video to start. https://youtu.be/v0IWNuGK6dY RE: 2021 SW Motech Pro Series Bags - Grumpy Goat - 11-10-2020 (11-10-2020, 10:27 AM)Lee Wrote: It takes one minute for the video to start. Just got the smaller, pro tail-bag for riding around town. Big enough for a jacket liner, bottle of water, and a few snacks, even when not expanded, and does not make my bike look like GS wanna-be. Extremely well built. I must say it's color scheme matches the black RS. I have to show a badge when I go to work so the micro tank-bag is perfect. The pro version is much cleaner to install than the older models--no drilling holes! That's it! Perfect size for me and well built. I'm wondering if there is a MOLLE attachment that would allow me to mount a rearward facing video camera. It seems like there's a lot to like, such as the way it appears that it would follow the contour of the tank. Any user reviews of this one (or any others from the line, while we're at it)? I considered the City, but the Engage turned out to be the right call for my use. RE: 2021 SW Motech Pro Series Bags - Lee - 11-10-2021 I ordered the Engage Pro from Engels and it arrived yesterday. I'll order another one for Deb now that she has seen the bag on the bike. She wanted to make sure the bag was not too tall. The magnetic mount works good but they made the the 2 piece tank ring more complicated than need be. If the gas cap doesn't open, the tank ring will take longer to remove compared to the previous style. The rain cover is bulky because of the clear map window. I plan to use a rain cover that Debbie made for another bag. Wish the bag was waterproof without a cover like the BMW bag I used on the K1300S. The Engage fits the tank well. Our GPSs are raised 1.5 inches. Tank Ring RE: 2021 SW Motech Pro Series Bags - ESquared - 11-10-2021 What drew me to the City bag was its side pockets for glasses and doo-dads, but the Engage bag seems to suit the size and scale of the tank/bike overall, huh? Seems like a Goldilocks size, too. Lots of noodling to do on this one, as I've never had a tank bag anywhere near this size on the Triumphs, and the last thing the Wing needed was accessory luggage! That, and I've already taken the plunge on this tail bag, which slips over the rear rack. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bmw-tail-bag?sku_id=1305032 Might not need both (tail and tank). Panniers, fasteners and liner bags shipped from Deutschland today. Funny thing was they wouldn't sell me the lock cylinders without a VIN, so I had to order them from Revzilla. About the same cost, so no biggie. Side pockets on a tank bag can be handy. I didn't get the City because I like lower profile tank bags. Some of my older bikes had really tall tank bags. 2021 SW Motech Pro Series Bags - TriangleRider - 11-10-2021 I only need the tank bag for short outings. Longer days in the mountains get a tail bag with the first aid kit, tire repair kit, water bottles, etc. Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk RE: 2021 SW Motech Pro Series Bags - ESquared - 11-10-2021 (11-10-2021, 05:02 PM)Lee Wrote:Yes, indeed, those are some REALLY tall tank bags! I'm used to the Trip Machine version, which is great with the Bonnie look. Unlike Lee's towering examples, these are decidedly LOW profile-more tank pouch, really (which is what they call 'em!). https://www.tripmachinecompany.com/collections/tank-pouch WHOLE different world. |
