Alternate Steed - Duccrazydave - 09-10-2018 Thought I would kick this topic into gear. My modest 2 wheel ownership has consisted of: 1978 Honda XL250, 1980 Honda XR250, 1985 Kawasaki KX250, 1982 Kawasaki LTD 1000, 1992 Ducati 900SS and, of course, the well loved 2016 BMW R1200RS . I still own the Ducati and the KX. Recently (after a long break) had a chance to take the Duc back to Virginia International Raceway. Cornerspeed hosted the event, put on by Mid Atlantic Ducati Owner's Club. Beautiful and challenging place to ride a bike. A perfect couple of days with an interesting mix of skill level and machinery. Enjoy the pics! Cheers, David RE: Alternate Steed - Grumpy Goat - 09-10-2018 (09-10-2018, 05:50 PM)Duccrazydave Wrote: Recently (after a long break) had a chance to take the Duc back to Virginia International Raceway. Alternate Steed - Duccrazydave - 09-10-2018 Yes sir! And new brake pads as well. Used SBS. A step up from their HH. An aggressive street/occasional track pad. RE: Alternate Steed - Olgry1 - 12-18-2018 Nice looking bike. That really looks like a lot of fun on the track! RE: Alternate Steed - Duccrazydave - 12-19-2018 Thanks guys! It was a treat to finally realize the value of the suspension mods that were installed. RE: Alternate Steed - Blackshirt - 03-16-2019 I've always had an envy for the Supersports. Yours is a beauty. Back when MotoGP was at Indy, they had a spec class racing that bike. Quite a contrast to the various GP classes, but extremely close racing and very enjoyable to watch! Nice Dragon shot as well RE: Alternate Steed - Olgry1 - 07-13-2019 (07-12-2019, 09:14 AM)codydawg Wrote: new to the fourm, reading through ole threads, that ducati looks like loads of fun. great pics. you now have me hunting for ducati track bike. I agree with Lee I always liked that bike. Nice pictures. When I first read the above I wondered what the heck you were talking about ... then I remembered you were referring to the Harley XR ... I was thinking the BMW S1000XR - the exact antithesis of the Harley model with the same initials. That is the bike that brought me to BMW, and one which I came this close to getting, before deciding on the RS. |
