Alternate Steed - Duccrazydave - 09-10-2018

Thought I would kick this topic into gear. My modest 2 wheel ownership has consisted of: 1978 Honda XL250, 1980 Honda XR250, 1985 Kawasaki KX250, 1982 Kawasaki LTD 1000, 1992 Ducati 900SS and, of course, the well loved 2016 BMW R1200RS Big Grin. I still own the Ducati and the KX.
Recently (after a long break) had a chance to take the Duc back to Virginia International Raceway. Cornerspeed hosted the event, put on by Mid Atlantic Ducati Owner's Club. Beautiful and challenging place to ride a bike. A perfect couple of days with an interesting mix of skill level and machinery. Enjoy the pics!
Cheers, David

Very nice pictures indeed. Thanks for sharing. Looks like brand new tires.

Yes sir! And new brake pads as well. Used SBS. A step up from their HH. An aggressive street/occasional track pad. Truly the best I’ve had so far[THUMBS UP SIGN]

Nice looking bike. That really looks like a lot of fun on the track!

Thanks guys! It was a treat to finally realize the value of the suspension mods that were installed.

I've always had an envy for the Supersports. Yours is a beauty.

Nice. That would be as close to a Harley as I am likely to get ... Big Grin Big Grin

Nice XR1200 Cody.
Always liked the look of that model.

Sweet! Nice Harley. Back when MotoGP was at Indy, they had a spec class racing that bike. Quite a contrast to the various GP classes, but extremely close racing and very enjoyable to watch! Nice Dragon shot as well

As we all like pic's i'll add in ... let see some more bikes!!

My XR1200 is a rare sporty harley. its a hand full with no rider aids, loud, but quick and handles well for a harley. dragon photos are my only action shots.

I agree with Lee I always liked that bike. Nice pictures.

When I first read the above I wondered what the heck you were talking about ... then I remembered you were referring to the Harley XR ... I was thinking the BMW S1000XR - the exact antithesis of the Harley model with the same initials. Big Grin

That is the bike that brought me to BMW, and one which I came this close to getting, before deciding on the RS.
