I added two more carburetors to the garage https://photos.smugmug.com/Rz350/i-RmPwsk2/0/9f089005/1280/VID_20230107_095205542-1280.mp4 RE: More carbs - Chris216 - 01-08-2023 Nice! That should be a lot of fun when you git er done! Chris RE: More carbs - MrVvrroomm - 01-08-2023 Oh boy! My first street bike was a '77 RD400. Learned how to wheelie on that bike. RE: More carbs - Lee - 01-08-2023 Nice RE: More carbs - Liteitup - 01-08-2023 I've been casually looking for an RZ for several years. Bid on a few, always got priced out. Gave up and bought my Nighthawk S last summer. Then someone posted a RD400 Daytona Tribute bike. I mentioned a buddy was on a buying spree and then had to come back and say he was holding out for an RZ as well. Then the PO of the RZ posted he had one he might sell. Several PM's and phone calls later, I'm headed to Oklahoma near Fort Smith AR. This bike was in a barn/metal building covered in dust. Doesn't run, but the story makes sense. PO had bought it, sent it to his mechanic, and never started it. I offered a price that would mostly cover any issues and to my surprise the PO countered $500 more. I wasn't about to let this get away for $500 so we shook and I bought an RZ. That was Tuesday, by Friday it was running. Not well, but running. Carb clean and it's much better. Ordered and installed a rebuilt YPVS controller. It runs pretty well now. I say pretty well because I don't really know what to expect. My last and only 2 stroke experience was an 86 ATC250R 3wheeeler in the late 80's. I've put about 40 miles on it so far. Anyway, pretty excited about this one. Wrong turn signals, the side stand rubs on the left expansion chamber, and I'm missing the coolant tank cover. I don't care. |
