Most of you know that I'm rarely at a loss for words, but WTF?
I've never ridden anything with this combination of weight vs horsepower/torque. It's literally a Goldilocks motorcycle for us.
Thanks Phil for letting me ride your Duke 890 R in Tennessee. You're such a MF'er.
We now have two KTM in our garage. Dawn bought a new '22 Duke 890 GP and I bought a new '23 Duke 890 R.
We just returned home from a great day of break-in miles. 325 miles to be exact. I'd say all but 100 miles were quality miles getting to/from some of our interesting roads down in Buffalo County, Wisconsin.
Unbelievable how easy the mid-size Duke is to steer, brake, accelerate, change direction. More review to follow.
I'll be doing first service on Dawn's tomorrow morning.

Congratulations you two. I have heard only good things about that engine and chassis. That is largely why I am so tempted by the 890 Adventure.
So now it is 6 two-wheelers in the garage?

I am looking forward to hearing more from you on this. I looked at the KTM website and I didn't see an 890 GP, was that just a 2022 model? I can see what the R is, what are the features of the GP?
My first motorcycle was a new 1968 Yamaha 100, which I bought 50/50 with my high school buddy/college roommate. The only thing bigger than an 890 would have been a Harley. Those were the bad ole days!
Have a blast!

There is a 2023 model of the "Scalpel" - 890 Duke GP 2023.

The GP is just a style package of basically stickers and orange wheels. It's same bike as standard Duke 890. The R model has better suspension, bigger brakes, a few more horsepower due to engine mapping.
There was $1500 cash back on the new '22 GP we bought for Dawn.

(Of course there was.)
(I need one of you Minnesota guys to negotiate for my next bike)
Beatiful bik. I looked hard at this bike last year..., I mean more torque and HP than my old K100s, but a better chassis and less mass.
Strictly day trips? I note the little 22 l panniers are listed for the 2023 R and the 2022 GP, but not the 2023 GP, so more differences than stickers? (Exhaust a little higher?)
As always, congratulations to you and Dawn at several levels.

Clutch pull is easy. It's rarely used.
