shaft drive rubber boots
#1
Is anyone using a "grease" or "paste" to prevent water entry in this area ??

I was thinking of rubbing my finger just along the inside of these boots (both edges of the front & rear boots) where they contact the metal portion of the drive shaft housing itself....as a preventative measure.

Does that make any sense to-do ??

There is suitable product found at trucker outlets & auto stores.

Yes. This is what I use, and I show how I apply it in my Driveshaft Service videos: Dielectric Grease/Silicone Paste/Waterproof Marine Grease.
