I installed a screen protector (Screen Angels, believe they are out of UK) on my Nav VI and it has a matte surface with less glare, you might try that. Chris

A buddy of mine suggested trying to start it in the garage when the ambient temp is the same as the IAT sensor is reading. I'll give that a go in the morning and let you know how it goes. Chris
