BMW USA website has been updated to show the 2023 R1250R in gorgeous Triple Black.
This adds to the 2023 R1250GS in Triple Black ...
Stands to reason the 2023 R1250RS should also be offered in Triple Black - I hope.
Note the indicators shown on the European models in these photos on the BMW USA website. Dare we hope that the 2023 models will get the sleek LED indicators too? Probably now, judging by the 2023 GSs that I have seen in inventory here.
Cycle World and RideApart both say that based on type approval data seen late September, changes in the R/RS are minor although the model codes have been changed. I guess these may not show up in our US showrooms until next year ...

The other RS forum had a picture of a 2023 R1250RS in the red, white and blue Sport colors.
In 2022 I think all the bikes got the new style LED signals except RS and R.
When we ordered our 2022 bikes I was hoping they would be delivered with the new turn signal/ running lights.
The one article said the 2023 R1250R will arrive in the US this spring.

Triple Black is a popular choice now and for me that is great. I don't know if I would like an RT with that colour though ... the white of Darrell's bike is a great colour or maybe the dark blue. But we all have different tastes.
We can only hope for the slim signals, but while I am hoping I am not holding my breath. Looked at the pictures of the 2023 GS and it doesn't have them so there is little chance that the R/RS will.
Yes, I saw that dark picture of the red / white / blue R1200RS but I am at work so no chance to fix it. Poster said that it was off a screen-grab and since I can't find an image on Google it may be a one-off or something not yet released widely anywhere.

Not much I can do with the poor picture of the red-white-blue RS but I improved it a bit.

Andy thought the RS picture was a mistake and BMW pulled it.

I can see the new style turn signals on the 2023 GS on the BMW website.
They had them on the 2022 bikes.
When we stopped at the shop a couple weeks ago most of the bikes on the floor had them.
When you look close at them you'll see a V shape line like a arrow.

BMW should increase the price a few thousand dollars on the 2023 RS by adding a bunch the optional items as standard plus some unique colors and slide it in to the M series of bikes.

Quite probably since there is no evidence of such a picture anywhere else, which I thought was strange. Usually by the time we see an image there are other instances of that image that can be found, especially if it was legit. Now thanks to this thread and the one on the other forum, the web crawler bots will create instances of this image on the web and people will start to believe that this exists and there will be other threads asking where such a colour scheme can be bought etc. Since it is a nice colour scheme and can serve as a hint to BMW I will leave it up.
But make no mistake - in my mind I think that the RS is better suited to a darker colour scheme like Triple Black (or Granite Grey ... this is not a dig at the Lupins).

I know the arrow-shaped lights you are referring to. To my eyes the 2023 R/GS above had an even slimmer LED light than the arrow-shaped ones you are talking about. Hard to tell since the website photos are not particularly good and are low resolution which does not support clear magnification. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'd like to think that also, but I suspect that the M series are for popular, high profit models and I doubt that the RS fits that bill. Of course, it would be very nice to see that happen.

November 10 will likely be the date we'll find out if it comes in Triple Black, and whatever else is in store for the 2023 R1250RS.

Glad to oblige. Now we can all start guessing what will be new and improved on the new RS ... other than the new Triple Black colourway ...
New windshield?
New LED indicators?
???

New license/registration plate holder? ??? New price no doubt.

Heated seat and new turn signals.
Triple Black will replace Black.
Red, White and Blue will replace White.

This is what the 2023 R1250R has as standard:
- TFT color display with BMW Motorrad Connectivity
- Full LED headlight
- Dynamic Traction Control (DTC)
- Integral ABS Pro (lean-optimised ABS)
- 3 riding modes (Eco, Rain, and Road)
- Hill Start Control (HSC)
- USB charging socket
- Dynamic Brake Control (DBC)
- 4-way mechanically adjustable windscreen
I doubt that the RS will veer much from that, and for the R heated seats are an option. My guesses as to what will be new are those highlighted, when compared with what the present RS has as Standard (below).
- ASC Automatic stability control)*
- Full-LED headlight
- HSC (Hill start control)
- TFT-Display with connectivity
- 2 riding modes (Rain, Road)
* Maybe this is a combination of the R's DTC and DBC and is actually nothing new ...
I agree with you (Lee) on the colours. Maybe some other cheap touchups. As for the LED indicators - the US site keeps showing the European models with their LED indicators yet the ones that are in our showrooms have bulbs, so I am not holding my breath for that.
One thing that I do hope would be gone is the ugly model decal on the side fairing ... I was never a fan of that on the later models.

Those decals peel right off with a little patience (no heat gun required). I used a little bug and tar remover on a cotton rag to remove the residual adhesive...

No LED on some bikes is a temporary supply problem.
As for the large ugly decal I thought of replacing it with the smaller decal that's on the black bike but Debbie said the white bike needed the larger black decal as an accent.

That must be a goof.
The R does not come standard with a shield.
Maybe the RS will have a 4-way shield.
