Cruise Control issues

2023 BMW R1250R,  I have two problems with the cruise control on this bike. Riding with the cruise control in the on position. 
First issue, The cruise control engages and takes control of the throttle at any random speed, displayed in GREEN, generally faster than the current speed. I can cancel it with the usual, brake, clutch roll off etc.
Second issue, Riding with the cruise in the on position a random speed will be indicated on the dash in RED even though I have not previously used cruise control on that ride,
BMW Dealer has installed all the latest updates, checked all wiring, changed out the left hand switch block, test ridden the bike for about 200 km. Unable to detect any problems.
I can ride the bike for up to a month or so, 300-400km before I have one of these issues. Then on other occasions it can happen twice in one ride.
BMW Australia have wiped there hands of it unless I can provide video evidence of the fault occurring. Purchase of a suitable camera at my expense.
Prior to this bike I rode a 1200 GS, exact same control layout for eight years with no problems. Traded it in on the 1250R and I encountered this problem immediately. BMW Australia indicate they think I am accidently engaging the cruise myself.
Has anyone on the forum had this problem or heard of it anywhere?

I have a 2020 1250 RS and my cruise works flawlessly. It takes deliberate action with my left hand/fingers to engage the cruise once I have switched it on. I'm baffled as to how one could accidentally engage the cruise.

Never heard of such a problem anywhere, I am afraid.

In my experience, the BMW cruise control functionality is one of the best, if not the best that I have come across, and that is largely because of the mechanical slider switch that locks the rocker tab from accidentally engaging cruise control when slid to the left. I ride with mind always in the right position (i.e. open / ON / enabled, whatever) so that way I can quickly set my speed etc. I use CC a lot, and it has never activated by itself without me setting a speed. And once set it has never cancelled by itself without me tapping the brake or the clutch or rolling the throttle forward. No gremlins.

You did not mention if the slider part of the switch was moved to the right when this is happening.

Sounds as though there is some sort of electronic issue that is causing the CC to engage all by itself, and where it is intermittent I can see how the dealer would ask for video evidence, since they - or you - cannot replicate it at will. The bike is much newer than mine, so it is unlikely to be dirt in the CC controls that is causing some sort of false signal to switch on. Besides you said that they changed out the left-hand switch block so it is not a dirty contacts issue. Firmware updates should also fix it from the ECU side, so this is indeed baffling.
