Front end road noise

I love the rs but the road noise coming from the front end is hard to ignore.  
I have an aftermarket windscreen but I do not believe it is just wind. 
Has anyone tried to deaden the (to quote the grinch) noise, noise, noise.

Interesting. I haven't noticed any road noise from the front end of my 2020 1250 RS , no matter whether I have the stock windscreen on or any of the 3 other screens I have.

When I hear the term "road noise" I think of noise from the road due to the tires, i.e. tire noise.

That said, I don't have any road noise on my RS, and I ran Dunlop Roadsmart III tires and now Roadsmart IVs. Prior to that Michelin Pilot Road 5s. Both quiet tires. I do hear road noise [sometimes] on my Tiger which has mild knobby tires (Pirelli Scorpion STRs) and that is to be expected but it did catch me off guard when I first heard it at highway speeds. I also use EARPEACE earplugs all the time so road noise is the least of the noises I hear.

What tires are you using and what is the road surface like when you hear this road noise? Both make quite a difference. In parts of texas they have this horrible chipseal roads which are graters for your tires, and which are noisier than typical asphalt or rain-grooved concrete roads.

Wind noise is a different beast, and the RS does have that, moreso with the stock windscreen than with the MRA X-Creen that I have. The R1300RS improves on the stock in terms of wind noise.

Best solution is good earplugs.

I have had many different tires and am on Roadsmart 3's at the moment using the same MRA X screen. I am thinking If I can find some foam I will stuff the upper fork area somewhat to see if I can narrow down where the noise is coming from. Its not a big deal just a niggle when I let it bother me. Obviously I have too much time on my hands. Love retirement!

I agree with your best solution and I do ride with tunes and have since cassette tapes. Unravelled a few of those on the hwy flipping sides but later on I never lost a disk.

Yet to enjoy retirement myself, but it is pretty close I would think ...  just got to pull the trigger.

I started my Dunlop journey on RS3s and they made no more noise than the 4s. Stuffing some foam in place should definitely help pinpoint whatever is distasteful to your ears, and blocking off that area is a known solution I have seen from time to time, albeit on other bikes (like ADV bikes).

I find that ported earplugs with tuned filters work quite well at blocking most wind noise while actually improving the sound of the music. Like you I ride with music or radio 99.9% of the time. Riding for me is not [only] recreation, but is transportation with therapy thrown in on the side.

If you can hear noise from the front wheel I think would have a look at the bearings.

Maybe your ear plugs are full on noise and need to be replace. just a thought.
