Crash bars

Morning all, had the r1250rs in 2020 now on the r1300rs asa loving it.has any one got a video of installing hepco and becker bars to the 1300 rs. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum community.

Good luck with finding much in way of installation videos of any kind for the RS. That is one of the reasons for the creation of the RSWasserboxer website and Forum ... to advance and share information as a resource for the RS. Lots of videos and such for the GS or course, but not the RS.

My first BMW was a R1150GS. I installed a set of Hepco Becker crash bars on it. Hmm. Had to remove them in order to check valve clearance. Then a good friend of mine who is an experienced GS rider and a (now retired) sales dude at South Sound BMW, warned me that the crash bars attach to the aluminum engine, and might cause more damage than they prevent in a get-off. Just sayin'.

My R1250 RS has stock BMW cylinder head guards installed (77148406187: SET, VALVE COVER GUARDS, STAINLESS STEEL). The comparable part for the R1300 series is 77147109278: SET: PROTECTION CYLINDER HEAD COVER.
