They are starting to appear on YouTube. Here is one from the Missenden Flyer - practical review as usual:

And another from the Exeter Rider:

And in Dutch from MotorRAI TV:

In French from Le Repaire des Motards:

Cool. By the time I get back to the States there may be one in my dealer's also. I should be back on Saturday but too late to go by and test ride, if there a bike to ride.

Just to give you an idea of the 1250 motor vs the 1200 motor.

Paul and Jazz were on my fully loaded RT and I was on my fully loaded RS.
We rolled it on in 4th gear (I let Paul have the hit) at probably 60-70.
Paul got a half of a bike on me and then we stayed that way for awhile.......
I never did catch him or close the gap.
I was really surprised as they weighed, with the bike, hundreds of pounds more the than me and the RS.
At speed the 1250 engine is a little smoother than the 1200 but I would not say it is significantly smoother.

Thank you for that excellent production Wayne. Having ridden a 1250GS I concur completely. My own 1200 RS is, like yours pre Euro 4 emissions modifications. I suspect that a key reason that BMW have moved to the 1250 is because of Euro 4 and the Euro 5 hit on the near horizon. My 15 RS with Remus and a professional 'tune' was as strong as the 1250 I tried.
It wasn't as smooth.
My good friend Jim is a very experienced motorcycle trainer/coach and his 'office' is a 1200GSA. I commented on how nice it was holding up the other day when he admitted that it was a newer model, with a TFT display. He tried a 1250 and could have chosen one but preferred the more raw, visceral feel of the 1200. The newer GSA has all the bells and whistles of the 1250 with the older engine.
Nail hit on it's head methinks...

Thank you.

Peter - thanks for the kind words. The video took a whole week of on and off editing, and that is at my pure novice level. Big Grin We are in agreement on the bikes, it sounds.

Nice video, GG. Watched it on your channel the other day (gave you a second "like"). Do you plan on doing a follow up video about the TFC display?

Thanks Dave. Wasn't planning on doing a special display video. But you never know ... I'd have to go back and get more footage. Smile

Great job comparing and contrasting the two "siblings".

Thanks John. Just wished that I had used the Sony instead of my phone camera when I had them side by side. Video quality would have been just as good as on the bike (GoPro). Still the points were made. No other review like this on the web and that is good. Big Grin
