Hi From Missouri USA

Hi, my name is Chris and I just got a 2020 R1250RS a few weeks ago so I thought I would join the forum. I was going to get a black one but after seeing the blue... LOL! So far I really like it, got to get it broken in for full enjoyment though. It's not my first BMW, I also have a 99 R1100S which I also really like, but I haven't actually bought a brand new bike off the show room floor since 1982 so I figured I was due. Other bikes in my garage are a 72 Dunstall Norton 750 which I am restoring, a 82 GPZ750 and a 98 VTR1000F. As you can see I do like my bikes LOL!

Welcome to the forum Community, Chris, and thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself. You got the nicest colour I think. Maybe when you get some time you can post come pics of your bikes - suggest in the Other Bikes sub-forum for the non-RSs.

I hear that's a very good shop.
Most of the time I go to Engles 180 miles south of us.

You need to post some pictures. I am particularly interested in the GPZ750. Welcome aboard.

They've sold a bunch of RSs out of Gateway this model year.
If you picked it up on a Saturday from Tom Huff, I might have met you.

The RS and the Ozarks are a great match. The only downside to ownership of a new RS would be the urge to give up some of the wrenching and maintenance on your collection to spend more time riding..., though I agree with Runnerhiker - the GPZ project sounds interesting.

Have a great year. Let me know next time you hit Ruby's in Eminence or the Bixby store on a Sunday, and I'll try to overlap and buy you a coffee or the equivalent.

I'm going to start posting some pictures in the other bikes forum, I'll have to search and see if I can find any good ones of the GPZ.
Ray, I did pick it up from Tom, but it was on a Tuesday so I don't think we have met. I'm actually down south of Branson, so I don't get out towards Eminence. But if you get down in that direction I'd be happy to buy you a coffee.

Yes - Tommy mentioned he sold a bike to a fellow in your neighborhood. I think his point was - you have a great bike at a great time in a great part of the country.

Have a trip with another musician to see Del McClinton in Eureka at the end of May, but will have the wives along, so not clear I'll be free to take time out to talk bikes....

Will catch up sooner or later.

Have a great year.
