Hi from Alan.
With my daughter Rachel on her Tiger 800 xrt I booked a guided tour to Millau Bridge in the south of France.
We live on opposite sides of the UK, me in the north east near Hull and Rachel in Cardiff Wales. Both are 270 miles from the Channel Tunnel which was the meeting point at 7.00 am. So we stayed in a hotel only 10 miles away which added a day to both ends or so we thought.
That made it an 11 day trip of 2600 miles door to door.
But on the second from last day the UK put a 14 day quarantine on all persons from France. We could not get to the train early as we were 400 miles away and had fixed time bookings.
So as I had been in a group with Rachel for 10 days I quarantined at her house and was able to assist with post trip cleaning and fettling.
Group was 7 bikes led by guide on a Suzuki Vstrom 1050, only other BMW was a F750GS.
Good trip weather varied from 35c to 13 and sun to torrential rain, one lot we did get soaked.
Most of the time I was backstop as the DRL on the RS stands out so the leader could see all were still with him.
Now no pictures but a 34 min video mixed by Rachel with some stills.
You can always fast forward. I did not film the first or last days on motorways with cruise on at 85 for an hour at a time.
