Remus Carbon HexaCone slip-on exhaust for sale
#1
Recently acquired a 2016 R12rs on which the original owner had installed this exhaust. Not sure when it was installed, however bike had only 5300 miles on it. Seller provided the original exhaust as well.

Spent the past 20 years on a '97 R11rs with it's OEM exhaust. And as much as I like the appearance of the Remus - it looks significantly better than BMW's shiny OEM can - I simply prefer the sound (or lack thereof) of the stock exhaust. Significant Other does too, not that my thoughts on the matter really mattered all that much anyway...

Revzilla lists it at $1006.05 (it's currently out of stock). Asking $450

As can be seen in the pics, it is as good as new. I'll cover shipping anywhere in the lower 48.

Note: After having posted this, can now see that the attached pics are somewhat lacking. If interested, send me a direct email and I'll forward the full size pics which will offer a idea just how good this piece looks and how good of shape it's actually in.

That is a good buy. I have this exhaust and the sound is pretty nice to my ears. I also liked the stock exhaust's sound but this one pops and crackles more .. Big Grin

Does anybody know if this exhaust will slip on the 1250 models without modifications?

Might have to contact a retailer like Revzilla for that information, as the Remus website shows the exhausts for the R1200RS separately from those for the R1250RS, as does Revzilla.

Having said that I would bet that they are kept separate because of Euro spec compliance as opposed to fitment. If the outlet pipe from the catalytic converter is the same diameter, the rest of the geometry to the hanger is likely the same.

Do know Revzilla's site states that this exhaust DOES NOT fit the R1200rs. However, I can assure you it most certainly does.

I'll try to do some research on it's compatibility with the 1250, as well.

So this is from an international Ebay ad from what appears to be the BMW shop in St. Louis. Appears they believe the exhausts between the R1200rs & R1250rs interchangable.

Ebay ad # 254641098607

Whether this even interests or not, please take a second just to check out the 'sound level' in the characteristics section. Five minutes latter, and I'm still laughing my ass off...

I’m off to the human society early this week to spend some time seeing if I can hear a bunny fart. I never had my OEM exhaust on the bike so never heard that sound.

Had a pet rabbit as a kid. Was meaner than hell, but honestly don't recall it farting. All the same, having ridden 3 different beemers (1K & 2 R's) over the past 30 some years I gotta think this is an apt and fairly concise descriptionWink

And I still prefer the stock pipe. Just now I'll have a little smile on my face every time I fire it up. Thinking about bunnies...
