Backroad Blast
#1
Took care of a 35k service on my RS, save for the brake fluid flush, which I’ll knock out sometime this month. So I decided to head up to VA today for the usual run. Well, unusual, in that it was 65F at the small overlook, about 20 minutes from the BRP.
Chatted with a couple of guys. The one had just picked up (500 miles)an anniversary edition GS 850.

ou could still see residual smoke from the fire at Pilot Mountain.
Quite a lot of bikes out today. BMW’s outnumbered the Harleys by a large
margin. [Image: 65d47afcffd0178cf208a45a065fad15.jpg]

Glad you enjoyed the pics. Darrell would be proud of me, lol. I had a chance to pitch the Dunlop RS IV to the RT rider. He showed me a pic of his completely shot Z8, threads and all! At the moment he has the Road 5's mounted. With less than 3k, his front profile is already flattening out quite a bit.

Appreciate you promoting those RS IV tires to other riders. They are a bit more expensive then the RS III but the extended tire mileage and improved handling makes it a easy decision for many riders to experience the new technology with this model of tire. Until we get that RS V the RS IV will have to do.

And as others have mentioned those photos make many of us wonder why we reside where we do. Our first snow is happening today and it will stay as temps are not going to take it away until around April 1.

The Front Road 5 is a short life tire. I'll never buy another one.
