I am sure that we might well find out. I don't have a problem with [light] political discourse as long as it is based on intelligence, and real facts and not alternate reality facts. That said the primary focus of this Forum Community is motorcycles and the RS in particular, so as long as there is some balance i am all for it.

Our thoughts and prayers must be with the people of Ukraine at this moment, and people the world over who support them and support freedom. There should also be no ambiguity and double-speak either when it comes to Putin and the crimes he is committing now.

Happiness comes not from what you have, but from enjoying all that you do have no matter how much or little that may be.

I always enjoy novels with relatively clear distinctions between good guys and bad guys. Finally, front page news that pits a bully and despot against a do-gooder Jewish comedian.

That said, it doesn't take the community intellect of the forum for folks to sort this out, and from a practical perspective, it strikes me that in using key words and phrases, you are setting up Grumpy's site as a target for Russian trolls and hackers.... Just a thought.

We are sorting now?

If I am "setting up" that is not my intent. Of course Mr. Grumpy can take this thread down with my blessing.

Apologies to all.

Putin = despot, soviet aggressor = bad guy.
Zelensky = Jewish actor, comedian, and 6th democratically elected president of Ukraine, trying to stand up to the bullies = good guy.

The story of the current European war seems less nuanced than most conflicts, and for a change, I've enjoyed reading the newspaper reports of the relatively clear-cut distinction between good guys and bad guys. (Of course, it helps that the Russian propaganda machine has not yet found much traction..., though that might change closer to our election time.)

My only thought was, we don't really need this forum to sort out the apparent good guys from bad guys, and the more we use certain searchable names, the more likely the forum will eventually find some unwanted attention from Russian cyber warriors outside the motorcycling community.

We might be better off comparing the Redmond, WA/Irbit, Russian Ural with the Kyiv, Ukrainian 4-stroke boxer - Dnepr..., or not.

I think that we can all agree that we don't need any untoward attention, that's for sure. We can also all see what is going on in the news as plain as day, and for me it is clear to see who the aggressor is and who needs to cease and desist.

Interesting idea of maybe comparing Urals and Dneprs ... nice call. I like Urals and don't know Dneprs as much ....

So I think that with that I will close this one off and we will move onto other less problematic subjects. Smile
