Hello from the Finger Lakes
#1
Hello,

I just traded in my 2016 RS for a 2022 RS. So far, I'm loving the upgrade. Time for the 1st service as I put 650 miles on the first week.

Fortunately, many of my accessories from the '16 fit on the '22, including my side cases (thanks to YouTube, I was able to rekey them to my bike!)

Welcome! Where in the finger lakes are you? I went to Alfred Univ (Alfred NY) and we visit there a couple times a year. Have yet to ride the RS there but did visit on the RT and the previous GL1800. Who's your dealership?

Thank you! I live in the Naples area. Funny...my wife went to Alfred U. She doesn't get back much but I have a riding buddy that lives in Hornell so we ride quite a bit in the southerntier...and PA.

I bought the bike from Max BMW in Troy. It was about a 250 mile ride home. I did not take the thruway though so it was a decent break-in ride.

I like to do my own maintenance but I've used both Max and Kissell in the past.

Dave, you have some very nice roads where you are. A good friend and fraternity brother of mine and a partner own Barrelhouse 6, a micro distillery in Hammondsport. We enjoy visiting there when we're in the area. MAX does sell bikes at very good prices. I bought my '18 RT from them. Hope your buying experience was a good one. Enjoy the balance of the holiday weekend.
