New guy from the middle of England
#1
So after years of teasing BMW guys and razing around on sportsbikes I've become that guy I used to annoy.

I was blating about on a tuned KTM 790 Duke and I planned a long tour to France with a friend meaning I needed something more practical.

After a load of bike shopping (came very close to buying an MV Agusta Turismo!), I noticed a 2017 R1200RS advertised locally. Hmm. It looked great and some research showed these things are loaded with all the tech and are actually a hidden gem. The crazy Lithuanian let me test ride it and it was good as people said.

I've had it about a month and, yeah that thing is bloody amazing.

Welcome to RS ownership and the RSWb Forum Community.

The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso is a great looking bike that gets very good reviews but is not inexpensive. It is a different sort of sport tourer to the RS (adventure style vs sport bike style), sort of like my Tracer. The RS is indeed a hidden gem and I think that you will find its true strengths after your tour of France.
