Breakfree?
#1
I was looking at the breakfree helmet light and curious if anyone here has it and what your thoughts are? I was contemplating an extra break light and came across this and contemplating this product instead of trying to wire in an admore light (or some other system)

Thanks

I've never seen the Brakefree in person so I don't have any knowledge of them and how they function. I always use Hyper lites on my bikes and the install is quite straight forward even on the BMW. I installed them on my 1250RS without using a CANOpener or other CANbus portal and have had no issues with the bike electrics. They have very little current draw.
Happiness comes not from what you have, but from enjoying all that you do have no matter how much or little that may be.
Be stubborn with your dream but flexible with your path

Thanks! That’s helpful I went ahead and ordered it, a little extra protection can’t hurt

I have one mounted on a Shoei full face- it's about 6 months old and has worked well since I got it. People clearly notice it even in daylight. Mounting and charging it is fairly easy.

Not sure if I'd want engine deaccel to activate a light -- considering that's primarily what I'd be using to slow from "pay attention to me" speeds to "ignore me" speeds if a cop was around... and if I'm riding my bike I'm typically speeding to some degree or another so it'd matter. Wink
