Trailering the R1200RS

I have the Condor wheel chocks and same experience. Put the front tire in the chock and it holds the bike upright so tie down is easy and safe. "Wouldn't leave home without one" ?

Excellent info all round. Thanks Phil. I did wonder about stowing the large ramp pieces afterwards, especially such that they don’t flip over and onto the bike. I would think that movers blankets would be useful. No doubt the Kendon trailer solution is best and it was good to see how both you and Ron managed this the last time we met. For me, the tow is not an issue as I often tow my 30 ft 7500# travel trailer. Good to see the mileage is not that much different with my old Sierra.

Yes, my HOA would not like anything like that parked in the yard. The thing that gets my goat the most is that, even if I had a nice flat driveway and was not on a circle, I would not be able to park my 30ft travel trailer so that I could maintain / modify it. The HOA would have something to say ...

So I don't see any point in fooling with the ESA for trailering.

Naw ... lost interest after deciding on the U-Haul solution for now. Too low on the priority scale. Working on getting the wife onto her own motorcycle which would mean getting a whole 'nother bike. No money / need for a bike trailer.
