Slim Panniers...
#1
Are slim panniers for a 1250RS available in the US market? Something like either of these...

Thanks in advance for sources and links. Years ago BMW offered "City" lids for their standard luggage.  Maybe they still do, but I haven't had any luck finding that for the modern factory luggage.

cheers, M

City lids are not available from BMW for the R1200/1250 Wethead panniers.

You might be able to buy the Authority panniers similar to the ones in your second picture??
That picture is a older model.
The Slim cases for the Wethead R1200RT Authority bike shows up in the US parts fiche but they will not fit the RS mounts.

Thanks for the update Lee. I'd be happy with the panniers from this  '22 R1250RT-P Authority bike.

When things get serious about buying a '23 RS, I have a serious chat with the parts & service folks at my local dealer. Maybe they can get creative. (EuroSport Asheville)  cheers, M

I always thought the City Lids were a good idea.
Use the standard lids for trips and the City Lids for local rides.
On the older panniers it looked easy to swap the lids.

Do you ever run into Tim and Susan Hudspeth. They use the same dealer and ride a K1300S Motosport.

Magile, you're cracking me up, man  Big Grin
I always say, when installing my factory panniers, that I'm putting on my hips, lol.

These K1300 / F800 Bags are smaller than stock and have the benefit of expanding when you need the space.

When we traded in our K1300Ss I left the bags on the bikes because I didn't know at the time they could be modified to fit the RS.
I kicked myself when I found out they could be modified.
I would have kept one set.

I'm probably too late, but I have these with a Givi adaptor kit and a couple of Givi E22s, if you can find them.

Shad makes mounts for the RS and has a nice assortment of bags if you're inclined to go the non-BMW way.
I had both the narrow and wide Shad bags for my old bike and found them to be of good value.
