Reifen Druck Control

Hello, chaps. Newbie from England here.

I’m looking at a used R1250RS but the one that I am keen on doesn’t have TPMS. I have found this really useful on my F800GT, so I’m keen to have it. Is it just a case of fitting sensors at my next tyre change and unlocking the software on my Motoscan Professional or do I need to pay a ransom to a Motorrad dealer?

Without knowing the model year, it's hard to tell for sure, but TPMS was very likely bundled in a package of options, so the question becomes What else does it not have?  The seller should be able to break all this down for you.

Welcome to the Forum, Bowlsie. I don't personally have an answer to your question but offer the following.

In case retrofitting the genuine TPMS sensors is too much, there are aftermarket alternatives that work very well. I had a FOBO system installed on a previous bike and was pleased with it. Works with a phone app and has some advantages over the bike-mounted system.
