Fall Foliage 2022 - BobAin'tStoppin' - 10-09-2022 Went for a ride to the Northeast Kingdom yesterday and this morning to see the Foliage, which is about peak up there. Best colors in years to my eye. Here's pics: Breakfast at Stuart and John's Sugar House RE: Fall Foliage 2022 - BobAin'tStoppin' - 10-09-2022 And More: This last one is this morning with drizzle and no sun RE: Fall Foliage 2022 - Grumpy Goat - 10-09-2022 Very nice Bob. Nothing like that here of course. I so miss Canada in the Fall. But then that passes as I ride all winter long. Good to see you out and about on the bike. Any second thoughts ...?? RE: Fall Foliage 2022 - Lee - 10-09-2022 Great photos. Thanks Bob. RE: Fall Foliage 2022 - Lee - 10-09-2022 The photos are even better now that I'm on the desktop with a big screen. My two younger sisters are out there now to visit a Niece in Mass and one of my older sisters in NH. Sounds like they picked a good time for the visits. RE: Fall Foliage 2022 - Motorhead1977 - 10-09-2022 That's a nice ride from where you're at. Beautiful country the NE Kingdom. We don't get up there very often as we usually run up through the Adirondacks from here. Thanks for the pictures. RE: Fall Foliage 2022 - Ray - 10-09-2022 Bob - thanks for setting the good example. Currently in southern Ohio - colors pretty good, but about 7-10 days from peak. Will be in running the Greenville SC area at the end of the month for some training, as I recover from last springs injuries and orhtopedic issues. Hopefully, the cool midwest weather won't accelerate the colors in the mountains there. Glad to see you are still giving the RS some exercise. Still for sale? RE: Fall Foliage 2022 - BobAin'tStoppin' - 10-10-2022 I was very surprised that there were almost no cars on the road. Seems leaf peeping is a thing of the past? I did have trouble finding a place to stay. RE: Fall Foliage 2022 - Duccrazydave - 10-12-2022 Great pics, as always, Bob! RE: Fall Foliage 2022 - 36654 - 10-15-2022 I'll be in Barre VT next weekend (driving the mighty 4cyl Tacoma), so I'll likely see New England foliage a bit off peak........ RE: Fall Foliage 2022 - Grumpy Goat - 10-15-2022 I am just waiting for the fall foliage here in Houston, but not holding my breath ... today it is 91 but the humidity is low ... The foliage can distract the rider, but foliage season room rates are a lot more painful than the cost of fuel....... This past summer, reservations were often required at restaurants when I was doing remodeling work for my niece.(10-17-2022, 11:14 AM)36654 Wrote:(10-15-2022, 03:27 PM)Ray Wrote:(10-10-2022, 05:44 AM)BobAin'tStoppin Wrote: I was very surprised that there were almost no cars on the road. I call that bracing... RE: Fall Foliage 2022 - TriangleRider - 10-19-2022 Beautiful pics! This year has been spectacular for fall color. That said - medium touring shield is on, warmer down bag is packed. Biting at the bit to follow Bob's good example in fall travel. Tuesday, I trailer the bike to the dealer (125-miles) for the 36K service. |
