My mistake. Weather using Garmin Smarlink shows weather radar on the Nav VI. Not the TFT. And how it updates the radar image on the Nav VI is spotty at times.

I think you'll love your 1250RS.  I also had an FJR, mine was 2008 model, no cruise control. :( This bike is just the right size and with all the electronic goodies.

The Connected App only works on the TFT models, by way of Bluetooth, the 1200 RS does not have Bluetooth.
