I used to own a 2016 RS and loved the bike. Life got in the way and I sold my last two bikes in March of 2020. Opportunities have opened up that will allow me to ride again. I'm trying to get things sorted to make way for a new RS and rekindle a lost love. I am fortunate to have wonderful motorcycle roads in every direction from my house.
I will have questions along the way and will help when I can. Look forward to riding with and meeting some of you in the, hopefully, not too distant future.

Welcome to the site! We'll be in Eureka Springs for the second week of July attending the BMWST UnRally. If you're not too far away you should drop by (or attend even - registration required) and meet a good group of people with a few RS riders included.

Good to see the Bug Dr. back.
Debbie and I were in the Ozarks mid April and the first part of May.

The Pig Trail is nice if you catch it early in the morning. There are so many good roads around it's difficult to ride them in one trip. Hopefully, I will have a bike soon and can meet up with some of you for a ride and/or lunch.

If a rider stays off the main highways it's hard to find a bad road. We like that most of the time we're out there with no other traffic.

Right - welcome (back). You're the entymologist who always has me inspecting and seconding guessing cheap motel rooms, and camping more than I used to.
Like many riders, about to go to, or just coming from, the Ozarks. Will be riding throught the neighborhood toward the end of the month on the way to meetings in Houston, Colorado, and the MOA rally. And you're right - usually takes 3 days to get to the southern bordoer of Arkansas, and I still miss most of my favorite roads and groceries.

Ray, camping is always preferable to motels anyway, even without the bed bug risks. It seems like a lifetime ago since I was a proper entomologist and never a very good one.
My search for a new RS has expanded to include Gateway. Not many in my neck of the woods unfortunately. I might have to drive a bit to get a new one. Still looking.

What options and color are you looking for if we spot one.

I'd be ok with all three colors but I really want the triple black. My 2016 RS was blue and white and I'd like something different this time around. The black RS looks pretty sexy IMHO.

Kansas City has a Triple Black that's Sale Pending. You could give Peter a call and ask to be contacted if the sale does not go through.

I rode down to Kansas City the other day and the salesman said the black RS was going to be picked up the next day.
They have a white one on the way but it's also sold.
It's getting close to time you can order a 2025.
