The Latitude will be a little on the warm side in hot weather.
I have the Latitude and Debbie has the women's version.
We really like the gear but it could use better venting for hot weather.
It doesn't have as many vents as say the Badlands.
Our biggest complaint is the cuffs do not open as much as our other jackets to allow air up the sleeves.
Your jacket has the little hooks to hold the collar open which will help.
It will also help that your gear is grey compared to our black.

Thanks for the insights.

Do you guys have the newer version that came out in Spring 2018? They apparently redesigned the venting to be at the armpits, forearms, and also the vertical chest vents (which I presently use as pockets). The jacket has exit vents at the lower back. Each leg of the pants has a vertical vent and an exit port on the hamstring.

This reviewer said "...the thigh vents could be improved. They are in line with the wind flow and too far up on the thigh. I would prefer them farther towards the knee for more vented area and facing the wind to catch more air. Also, the shoulder vents are covered when the fabric bunches up as you reach for the handlebars, blocking much of their venting."

I may not have the cuff problem as it seems that my cuffs are plenty large - maybe too large. I have a large size jacket which is a tad baggy (except for around the gut Rolleyes) so the cuffs will fit easily over my summer gloves.

Haven't used the collar hooks yet but I can see how that will help big time. On my recently concluded 4 day mini-tour to Arkansas, I had wind going down my closer collar enough to have to put on the Storm Collar to stop it. I can only imagine the increase in airflow with the collar hooked open.

We have the previous generation with similar vents as the new jackets.
My jacket has 6 ports like yours but my arm vents are up by the biceps and yours are on the forearm.
I would like to see the same wet suit zippers with no flap over the vent so they catch the air better.
Venting on the pants is ok on ours.

I don't put anything valuable in the two chest pockets. It's too easy to think you opened the chest vents going down the road, then find out you opened the pockets.

That right there is the tip of the day. Up until now I put my wallet and phone in left and right vents respectively! BUT the good thing is that I never thought of them as vents, but as pockets so no opening while underway. The problem could start when in the warmer months I start using them as vents and then absentmindedly put the wallet and phone in them.

Luckily this jacket has 11 pockets (I assume counting these two) so I will find two others to use. Smile

My problem was not being able to see which zipper I pulled while riding.
I wanted to open my vents, but opened my pockets by mistake.

Arkansas at the Ride In I ran down the street to buy beer and while in the store I noticed I could not feel my phone in my jacket pocket. It takes a awhile to check all those pockets Smile
I was worried the phone had dropped out at the last gas stop but when I walked out of the store I saw my phone laying under my bike.

One good thing is Darrell told me about the Friend Locator app in case I ever lose the phone again.

If you wear XL normally, could I try yours on at Gunnison?

Hi Lee, I just ordered the Lee Parks tour outseam in medium. I measured per his size chart and he says I'm just under medium. This as opposed to the xl in Klim that don't fit me well and I don't like. So we'll see what shows up and I should hame them for the meet up in September.

Interesting aside, Within an hour of ordering online I got a return message saying the gloves are shipped. The tracking number given isn't valid according to UPS. Will see what shows up.

Sometimes you get a tracking number before the post office actually has the package.
If you check in another day or two the package will show in the system.

Turns out the link in the email went to UPS. But the tracking number was for USPS. Package has left Victorville, CA and is in transit to somewhere.

Gloves arrived in the mail today. So good service from Lee Parks. The M size fits my hand perfectly. Leather is butter soft and these gloves are gonna be super comfortable.
