I noticed an RS for sale when I was shopping for the RS I eventually got, the seller claimed it brought the seating position up and back similar to an R. Might be good for me for long trips, the reason I bought the bike. Has anyone done this to their RS and if so how do you like it?
I installed the Helibar risers after I bought my 2018 RS 2 months ago. I am 6'3" and they help out quit a bit. More relaxed riding position. Also installed foot pegs. Moved them about an inch lower and back. I think you will the risers, especially if you are looking for a more relaxed position.

R bars and Wunderlich Ergo risers on my 1250 moved from my first 1200 as soon as I got home when new. With a Givi screen 300 mile days are no problem.
It makes the RS the perfect all round machine, for tarmac only, that you can buy. I also have Hornig GPS mount Wunderlich engine protection plate and Puig hugger.

I have them on my RS. I bought them for my '16 RS and took them off before I traded it in on a 2020 RS, installed it on the 2020 with the identical fit as the 2016. They work great for me, I really like it.
In the picture, follow the cable cluster from the clutch side about 6" down, you will see a silver colored wire loop that manages the routing. I found all I had to do was open up this wire loop and that gave me enough slack on all the wires and hoses for lock-to-lock movement of the handlebar.

For those running the R bars could someone measure the bar width end to end for me?Also how does the bar pull back compare to the stock bars? I am thinking about this conversion possibly with a set of Pro taper bars (I know I will have to make up some spacers due to the diameter difference)if I can find the right bend.

So had the Helibars for a bit, but then switched to the Ilium Works risers. The Helibars were a bit taller, but the Iluim risers bring the bars back a little more, so I’m sticking with them. I still may have to invest in the Wunderlich conversion to handlebars: really, I’m trying to make the RS into an RT, I just like the weight of the RS and the forks better on the RS, had an RT and it was fine, but if I can, I like a bike that I always look back at as I saunter out of the garage. My Lupin blue RS just pushes my buttons.

Getting ready to install these. I'm a bit "a'feared" that it warns me that I'll have to take all the tupperware off the left side, disconnect the clutch (and possibly inducing air?), reroute the cable, reconnect all that stuff, just to put these on. Or maybe not?
Mojo, try no cable changes first. Just install the risers, I think the cables/lines will be long enough. They were long enough for me when I installed the hellibars risers.

I am 75" tall and have a pretty good reach. I installed the Helibar risers on my 2018RS and I think you will like the repositioning. Enjoythe ride. I love the bike.
So I’ve gone from the Helibar risers to the Ilium Works Risers. Still not quite enough reach back towards me, and now I’ve just (almost) finished installing the Wunderlich handlebar conversion kit. WHAT a pain in the ass. I’m not a good mechanic, but the instructions were fairly straightforward and I’m unemployed so yeah. Everything was pretty straightforward until I had to re-route the clutch cable. It didn’t look too hard, so started taking panels off. But Bejeesus, there was a zip tie holding the clutch cable to something, and I couldn’t get to it unless I take the radiator off. Pfuck! With no service manual and just ok skills, four hours later I get that zip tie off and it’s displayed forever on my desk.
But sadly I can’t find anything on the interwebs to show me how to bleed the clutch, and since I lost a bunch of coolant too it has to go to the shop anyway. Bastards!

I have done this on both 1200 and 1250RS and have found that after some hours on the first one, plus skinned knuckles, that this cuts the tierap behind the radiator. No snips or scissors can reach and then cut that I have seen.
A HOT SOLDERING IRON
