Having a backlog of bedside reading, I just finished Nick's article and was quite pleased to read what he said about covering your brakes ... totally aligned with my practice and for the same reasons. For me I tend to have to make a conscious decision not to cover my brakes and I typically only do this on interstate riding or riding on good backroads where visibiity either side is very good.

As you say it is great to have solid sources of information and inspiration available, especially if they are in our own BMW Owners News magazine, where all sorts of articles and approaches to writing can be enjoyed.
