Do you plan to be in Doswell/Richmond next month?
Have to say, I love my 2014 Honda Insight with CVT and paddleshifters. I know you guys do a lot of engine braking, and, all I can say is I've had hardly any brake wear in the 50,000 miles I've put on it to date.
Honda has an NC 750 with DCT..., but like everything these days - configured as a "jack of all trades" adventure bike.
I'd also mention the Zero SR/S with Shad luggage ticks a lot of my boxes (at ~$30k) ..., but even with the additional "power tank," unless the farmers' co-ops put in compatible fast chargers, you'd probably be looking at a looong trip to Redmond with lots of extended pre-planned coffee stops along the way. An extra level of adventure. (Did MR and MRSVVRROOMM make the trip by Tesla to the west coast as planned a couple of years ago.)
Not going to Doswell.
I forgot about the NC 750. We talked to a guy on one at Vanderpool Texas last month and Debbie didn't care for the looks of the bike.
It would be nice if Honda had a Sport Tour model with the Africa Twin engine and DCT. The HP and Torque is pretty low compared to the R1250 but at least we would look at it.
If she has to give up on motorcycles I would not mind having a couple Yamaha XMax scooters. 300 cc. Trailer them to places like Arkansas, Wisconsin or Black Hills and do day rides. Right now she's lukewarm on that idea.
Back in the 80s and 90s Debbie had a 200cc Yamaha scooter and I had a 250 Honda scooter.
