Keyless Ride fuel cap release failed today

As an aside here.  When I stop for gas I use the kill switch, leaving the ignition on.  The gas cap works normally and I would expect that your bluetooth stuff would stay connected.  Just a thought for you music lovers.

 On my 2020, the gas cap won't unlock until the ignition is turned off.  Stopping the motor with the kill switch isn't enough to unlock the cap.

Ditto for me on my two BMW's: 2020 R1250RS and 2022 K1600GT - the gas cap will not open with the ignition "on"
